Even with the unattractive cover, I knew as soon as I held this book I was going to love it.  And love it I did.  On a dark and stormy night (where all good gothic stories should begin) Daniel Amat receives a letter. He must leave his quiet Oxford life and return to the chaos of Barcelona for his father’s funeral. I inhaled this book! I loved wandering around the cramped streets of this ancient city, it was so easy to get lost in. An incredibly fun historical mystery you won't be able to put down.
