Mass Surveillance! Alternative facts! Fake news! Doublespeak! War is Peace! Freedom is Slavery! Ignorance is Strength! 1984 is a bestseller again, and I'm not surprised. The totalitarian dystopia imagined by Orwell in 1948 may not look exactly like today, but some of the ideas definitely have arecognisablering to them. It doesn't matter if you're on team red or blue, reading this book is a must DO. At least, in 2017 where “post-truth” is now a thing and no-one is quite yet sure what to do about it. And remember, Big Brother is Watching You!
