What an experience reading this is. Contemporary satire at its best, these beautifully written stories are searing and scathing, full of dark humour and deep wisdom. The dystopian world of Friday Black is like a funhouse mirror, bending reality into strange and sometimes terrifying shapes, and yet the most frightening aspect of this book is the current of dark truth that runs beneath it all.
