MACHINES LIKE ME: Ian McEwan

MACHINES LIKE ME

by Ian McEwan

I was surprised to hear that Ian McEwan was giving sci-fi a go. His latest novel takes us to an alternative 1980s where Alan Turing is still alive and subsequently there have been swift advances in AI tech. The story follows Charlie, whose life is irrevocably changed after he makes a new acquisition, a life-life robot. If you like Black Mirror, this book is for you. If you like Ian McEwan, he's on his A-game too.
