THE FOREST OF WOOL AND STEEL: Natsu Mitashita

THE FOREST OF WOOL AND STEEL

by Natsu Mitashita

This is a beautifully lyrical tale about an apprentice piano tuner in Japan. It’s prose is almost as hypnotic as the sounds Tomura hears as he learns his trade from the master-tuners around him. This is a gentle and powerful coming of age story and gives a compelling glimpse into a wonderful part of Japanese culture. Highly recommended.
