AMERICANAH: Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche
AMERICANAH
by Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche
Americanah covers a lot of ground. From examining the intricacies of race, to the diasporic experience in both the US and England; all tied together with the love story between Ifemulu and Obinze. The novel is indulgent, with Adiche continually flaunting her impressive way with words. I found that this book stayed with me after reading it, as Ifemulu, the main protagonist, is constantly spouting wisdom that kept me deep in thought.
