This was a really exciting adventure from start to finish. I especially recommend it if, like me, you love dogs. After a fungus kills all the grass and food in the city runs out, a brother and sister must travel over land with their five malamutes to get to Emery’s mother’s farm in the country. Together, they have to learn to ‘walk on their heads’ and live off the land in order to survive and get their family back together. I loved the Victorian setting and the strong environmental message.
