Join us at Mary Martin Bookshop Port Melbourne for an evening of good books & good conversation.  In July we will be reading and discussing Klara and the Sun, Kazuo Ishiguro’s first novel since winning the Nobel Prize for Literature.

Klara and the Sun tells the story of Klara, an Artificial Friend with outstanding observational qualities, who is taken home by a family to be a companion for their daughter. Despite the unusual perspective from which this story is told, the novel could not be more human. It is an exploration of love, family, faith and of the lengths we will go to for the ones we love.
