Katie McMahon hails from Hobart, Tasmania, where she works as a GP and teaches communication skills to medical students. Katie wrote her first novel after attending a masterclass run by internationally bestselling author Fiona McIntosh, who now heralds her as ‘an exciting new talent’. Her thrilling debut novel, The Mistake, was published in 2021 and became an international success, acclaimed by the likes of Liane Moriarty and Harriet Walker.
