KAFKA ON THE SHORE: Haruki Murakami
KAFKA ON THE SHORE
by Haruki Murakami
Under the shadow of his father’s disturbing prophecy, 15 year-old Kafka Tamura runs away from home to find his mother and sister. This was the first Murakami I read, and I’ve never looked back. Anyone can write a story that resembles a dream, but it’s a rare artist like Murakami who can make us feel we ourselves are dreaming. There’s no other writer like Murakami. He’s totally unique and incredible.
