WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING: Delia Owens
WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING
by Delia Owens
To me a wonderful book is one I finish with a big sigh and a smile, knowing I have something new to add to the favourites wall. Kya’s story has really stayed with me. Set against the wilds of North Carolina’s coastal marshes in the 1950s and 60s, the story’s first thread follows Kya as she grows up isolated and half-wild on the marshes. The second thread is set some years later when, following the discovery of a young man’s body in the marsh, the town is quick to blame the reclusive Kya for his death.
