What a gorgeous read this was. Highly literary, the writing sparkled from the pages as it described paintings of high esteem and a NSW mountain town. This novel beautifully traces the love affair between two artists, one born from legends of the art world and another, a young landscape painter making a name for herself. I enjoyed every word I read and didn’t want to leave the tumultuous relationship of Clem and Frances. This is a home-grown read for art lovers, lyrical writing lovers and people who understand the importance of forming your own identity.
