This refreshing novel is based on the hopeful premise that, even though we may think differently, there’s always common ground to be found. Amateur naturalist Cora Seaborne is adjusting to the freedoms of widowhood by hunting the elusive Essex Serpent in a remote coastal town in England when she meets the devout Reverend William Ransome. This has such an assortment of all my favourite types of characters: smart, witty, open and fun to hang out with. I was incredibly happy to live in their world for a while.
