LAPVONA: Ottessa Moshfegh
LAPVONA
by Ottessa Moshfegh
In true Moshfegh style this novel is dripping with irony. Upon finishing it, you'll be puzzling over what she was trying to say with the constant disturbing obscenities, if anything. Is she paying tribute to the medieval fantasy genre or making a complete mockery of it? Regardless, Lapvona will hook you in and keep you entertained by the unpredictability of the plot and its satirical characters. Ottessa is one of the most interesting authors writing today and her latest novel upholds this reputation completely. Loved it.
