For me this is the perfect reading escape. Set in the 1880s, it is a book of fantastic intrigue. Thaniel Steepleton must travel to Japan where ghosts are sprouting like smoke and fire. Then he must to keep his precious family together while political schemes unfold all around him. I adore Natasha Pulley’s books. They give me a warm safe cosy feeling while taking me on an epic adventure.
