I'D RATHER NOT

by Robert Skinner

The truly laugh-out-loud book is hard to come by. This collection of essays is a welcome exception. Short, wry, bittersweet; each self-contained piece of memoir offers a pearl of humour and wisdom, whether Skinner is talking about fighting tooth to nail with Centrelink over Robodebt, wrangling German backpackers or the rise and fall of Australia's best (and perhaps only) short story magazine. A good one for fans of David Sedaris.
