BREATH: Tim Winton
BREATH
by Tim Winton
Winner of the 2009 Miles Franklin Award
This is my favourite Tim Winton novel. It’s a coming of age story set against the wilds of coastal West Australia, where two youths strive to test themselves against the elements. But where does the line between bravery and recklessness actually lie? For a book about extremes, I adored how quiet the writing was, as all the characters keep pushing what it means to be alive.
