This book had me at ‘two teenagers help the FBI hunt teen serial killers’. Seriously, why has no-one jumped on this premise before? And ‘None Shall Sleep’ more than delivers the promised thrills and chills. Like Silence of the Lambs (which the book gleefully riffs on) it works so well because of the brilliantly drawn characters: the broken but determined heroine Emma, tough-with-a-heart-of-gold Todd, the charmingly psychotic Simon. Our investment in these guys makes the gruesome (be warned!) moments of reckoning even more terrifying. A horrifyingly fun read!
