DUNE: Frank Herbert
DUNE
by Frank Herbert
It’s hard to say what draws me back to Dune time and time again- Is it in the scale, from the demise of empires to the loss of a father? Is it Arrakis, with its intricate mythos and punishing thirst? Is it the fact that they occasionally ride giant sand worms?
Dune could be called a story of how a boy becomes a messiah. But it could also be called a great epic, a story of imperialism, spiritualism, ecology and the human condition all interwoven to create this timeless classic.
